Students at Wilsonburg Elementary School (Grades PreK-5) come to the library twice a week.  PreK and Kindergarten are introduced to the pleasures of reading through story hour, where I read them stories, then we discuss parts of the story (e.g. characters, author, illustrator, fiction, nonfiction, story elements, etc.) and the students make a craft or do some type of activity that's connected to the story.

Students in grades 1 through 5 check out books and read one day a week and have a story hour or a library lesson on the second day. Grades 3-5 will also work on book reports.
